~ Triple Black 1966 Pontiac GTO - 1:18 Diecast MIB Description: This auction features a 1966 Pontiac GTO muscle car released by Highway 61 Diecast, as part of their Muscle Series, in the late 1990's. It is in mint condition in the original Box.This is the Triple Black version. It was limited to a run of only 600 pieces. The 1966 Pontiac GTO was the first year as a full fledged stand alone model. It was good timing, as the "Goat" tallied the highest one-year total ever attained by a true muscle car (96, 946 units). Styling highlights included a graceful roofline and cool fluted taillamps. The unique GTO grille had mesh-pattern inserts made of plastic -- an industry first. The car's Coke-bottle styling, split mesh grille, and stacked headlights added up to a classic design with broad appeal. 1:18 scale diecast has opening doors and hood, nice 4-barrel 389 ci engine, accurate GTO badges and readable gauges in the interior. Working suspension and more. This is on par with a Danbury Mint level diecast, and you certainly won't be disappointed adding this sharp looking car to your General Motors or Highway 61 Muscle Car diecast collection.
