AutoArt McLaren F1 Short Tail Road Car diecast car model

GreenLight introduces a new product line that will breathe new life into GreenLight’s approach on Die Cast Muscle Car Collecting.

Indianapolis, IN (December 15, 2010) Hold onto your seats diecast collectors because GreenLight is about to rock your world with a brand new product line for Winter 2010. GreenLight Muscle will be replacing the Muscle Car Garage and Hobby series with a fresh face that encompasses every aspect of what it means to be a muscle car and really bring what GreenLight offers in a Muscle Car Series back to basics. Your quintessential powerful engine, attention grabbing paint scheme and sound effects on a car so hot the road literally melts around it.

GL Muscle will be offered in alternating series themes and this very first edition will focus on a fundamental factor, the tires. Each car will sport factory correct wheels, but aftermarket extras will be included that can be interchanged to upgrade the car from stock to blow your socks off! “This will give skilled collectors added value as well as provide the ability to customize vehicles for model and hobby enthusiasts” said Russell Hughes, Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
As if the pure impressive nature of GL Muscle was not enough to make you run to the store immediately, GreenLight is going to push the collectible element to the limit with each car being accompanied with an unique trading card. These trading cards are going to be traditional size so the fill nicely in the plastic preserving sheets as well as being Gold Stamped with authenticity and individual serial numbers. The trading cards will also accompany any Green Machine vehicles with their own chase variation scheme.

GL Muscle Series 1 makes quite the impressive entrance with three new castings: Challenger, ’87 GT and Camaro. Great variety of nostalgic top dollar collector vehicles from the ‘60s/70s, as well as all of the hottest late-model vehicles will be the GL Muscle point of interest and when paired with the additional features, give birth to a Series that will perform at a champion status.

Entire 6 car Assortment of 1:64 GreenLight Muscle Performance Wheels Series 1 includes:

-1968 Buick GS 350
-1969 Chevy Chevelle SS
-1970 Dodge Challenger R/T*
- 1987 Ford Mustang GT*
-2010 Chevy Camaro RS*
-2010 Ford Mustang GT

These die-cast replicas will be positioned in their packaging with opened hoods so you can get a glimpse at the detailed engines. All materials used are authentic with real rubber tires and complete metal body and chassis. Detailed graphics, custom license plates and official licensing by the respective automobile companies make each of these cars correct and credible replicas. Quantities are limited to 4,000 units each, open to the mass market and hobby accounts and will be available in Winter 2011.

Ford contracts GreenLight Collectibles for a new 1:24 scale casting
GreenLight is acknowledged as being a premier die cast manufacturer by Ford

When a reputable car manufacturer such as Ford asks you to make a car for them, you know you are doing something right! GreenLight was contacted by Ford earlier this year for a custom promo project, releasing this Winter 2010 GreenLight’s first 1:24 casting since Summer of 2009, a 2010 Ford Taurus SHO. Thought the 1:24 scale has not been a frequent release, GreenLight executes the project with its prevalent attention to authentic scaled replication.

Ford is reviving the SHO name for the 2010 model year after an 11-year hiatus. Dropped in 1999 after a decade of increasingly diluted performance, the original 1989 car was a raw, sports-focused quasi-exotic with a manual-only Yamaha 3.0-liter, 220 HP V6. At the time, it was the third fastest sedan in the country. Now the engine packs an EcoBoost Twin Turbo 3.5-liter V6 with 365 bhp horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque.

The 1:24 replicas will be available in factory correct paint schemes: Red Candy, Tuxedo Black and Ingot Silver. As well as feature opening hoods, doors and trucks, detailed engines, real rubber tires, authentic wheels, metal body and chassis, detailed graphics, custom license plates and are officially licensed by Ford. Quantities are limited for each car and will be available at GreenLight Hobby Retailers beginning in January 2010.

1:64 Route 66 PackagingIndianapolis, IN (October 19, 2010) Pack your bags, GreenLight is taking collectors on a cross country road trip down the infamous Route 66 U.S.A. The 15 car set will be packaged in a display Collector case with a road map packaging that marks out the “Mother Road” as it journeys through each of the eight states from Chicago to L.A. The cars chosen for this highly collectible item all belong, like the route itself, to the Golden age of motoring.

Route 66 U.S.A was constructed many years before the superhighways of today, used as the primary means of travel for people motoring westward. It is a part of American motorist evolution and is as hard to define as it is to forget. The Route pulls its nostalgia from those travelers of yester-year that took to the pavement with a sense of adventure and GreenLight translates this period of history through a mix of retro and modern-day cars. Many of the cars also are first uses, the 1964 Chrysler Convertible, 1978 Plymouth Trail Duster, 1988 Ford Mustang GT Stock and 2011 Ford Shelby GT 500 Convertible all debut behind the first-ever 15 pack premier packaging.

The collector packaging highlights eight of the most popular sights and scenes on the west bound journey, from the Launch Pad in Illinois to the Cadillac Ranch in Texas to the Wigwan Hotel in California. The extraordinary and eccentric stops offered, affirm the saying that “it’s not the destination, but the journey”. These quirky stomping grounds acted as rest areas for the hungry and tired travelers, oasis’s of entertainment on the lengthy stretch of road, marking fun and unique memories of the highway that’s the best, Route 66.
