New "Knight Rider" KITT Photos Emerge! Diecast Next?
Exclusive first photos of the new KITT car from the future series "Knight Rider" have been posted on Jalopnik.com, a website devoted to "secret cars, concept cars, flying cars, vintage cars, tricked-out cars, red cars, black cars, blonde cars..."
It hasn't been decided yet who will star as Michael Knight in the new TV series, but it's confirmed fact that the new series will star, not a Pontiac F-Body, but a Ford Mustang Shelby GT500-KR as KITT (Knight Industries Two-Thousand). Now that that's settled, who is working on the 1:18 diecast model, complete with light bar?

More Historical GT Race Cars From AUTOart
There are currently available versions of all three diecast model cars pictured; the Porsche 908/03, 1967/68 Toyota 2000 GT, and 2005 Toyota Supra Super GT Late Version. Look for more unique replicas soon from AUTOart. Item No. 87181 will be the '71 Porsche 908/03 as driven at Nürburgring on May 30, 1971 to a No. 3 overall finish. AUTOart No. 86815 is the Dave Jordan driven, Carroll Shelby owned '68 Toyota 2000 GT which raced in the SCCA C-Production series, grabbing two wins before the season ended. Lastly, AUTOart No. 80516 will be the 2005 Toyota Super GT Supra #6. The car's last competitive year was in 2006, when it was used by Toyota Team Tsuchiya and Toyota Team SARD. Since then the Supra has since being replaced by the Lexus SC. These models should be widely available through American AUTOart dealers soon, with street prices on the Porsche 908/03 models topping out at around $120.
