SunStar's Beautifully Detailed 1956 Lincoln Premier

Bigger was definitely better for the 1950's American car and few were larger than the 1956 Lincoln Premier. While the '56 Cadillac and Chrysler Imperial were simply older models with a face-lift, the '56 Premier was completely new and its clean, sharp lines won the prestigious International Design Institute Award. Sun Star's 1956 Premier Convertible has many fine features including pivoting doors, working hood hinges, spring-loaded functional windshield wipers and exceptionally thin gold photo-etched badges. However, none of these would mean much if the shape were wrong. Happily the lines, proportions and details are almost exactly correct.

All the body trim on this fully detailed diecast model is done with separate plated pieces or photo-etched parts. Lifting the hood displays the big 383 cid V8 which is also very welly detailed; even the hose clamps have been picked out and a couple of luggage bags have been included for the trunk. Despites its massive size, the Sun Star 1956 Lincoln Premier is amazingly accurate, with every dimension within 0.02 inches of perfect 1/18 scale. This diecast model car has recently arrived in the US and is retailing for around $40.
