AUTOart Millenium Edition BMW 1800 TiSA “Neue Klasse”

Posted by: admin In: 1:1 Cars| 1:18 Scale| AUTOart| New Releases

Only 200 BMW 1800 TiSA were ever produced, solely for homologated racing allowances. While the standard 1800 models were sporty indeed, the TiSA boasted several upgrades including center-mounting extended tachometer, sports seats and wooden steering wheel, 150 hp via twin dual 45 DCOE Weber carbs, 10.5:1 compression ratio, longer cam, rear disc brakes, and five-speed close-ratio transmission, among others, not to mention the obviously deleted bumpers and wheel covers. It’s not always easy to spot the refined nuances of the Ti and Tii variations, but the TiSA was distinct from practically every angle! Only produced in 1964 and 1965, these cars are virtually unknown to all but the most seasoned BMW aficianado. A true-blue sports car with a top speed of 112 mph, the TiSA “New Class” has close links to today’s BMW models, most noticably the M5.

With news and photos of AUTOart’s development of the BMW 1800 TiSA (70623 Chamonix White (pictured left), 70622 Silver, and 70621 Bristol Gray) this obscure car will not be relinquished to an enigmatic demise! If you’re yearning for that one pieces to set off your 1:18 BMW diecast car collection, look no further! Learn what you can about this car and you’re bound to have a real conversation piece!

About

We've been nuts about diecast cars for years and the only thing better than old models is new models! We're mainly into 1:18 scale but quickly finding interest in large 1:12 and 1:16 scale, as well as superbly detailed 1:43 diecast as well as 1:10 scale motorcycles! We don't have as much time as we'd like to update the blog, but over the years we've accumulated alot of good content here and hope you'll enjoy your stay and learn more about the diecast model car collecting hobby!
